Condition Assessments

Condition assessment services are also available to determine the extent of degradation that has occurred with time. These types of assessments are often required where buildings or parts of buildings are being considered for continued existing use or for renovation etc. Examples of these buildings include old warehouses, wool stores, heritage listed buildings and bridges, wharf and pier structures.

Condition assessment techniques are typically undertaken by detailed visual examination and sounding, probing and drilling. Samples of timber may also need to be taken for positive species identification to enable timber strength, durability and termite resistance classes to be ascertained.
